How to choose auto repair shop software
Seven questions to ask before you choose — and how GaroPro answers each one. Built in Moncton for independent repair shops across Canada.
14-day trial · Web and mobile · English and French
Does the work order follow the vehicle from start to finish?
Check-in, parts, labour, time spent, photos: when information is scattered between a notebook and a spreadsheet, it goes missing right when it’s time to invoice. GaroPro keeps everything on one file, from key drop-off to paid invoice.
Are your province’s taxes calculated, or typed in?
Software built elsewhere asks you to set up taxes by hand. GaroPro knows the Canadian tax systems and applies your province’s, without you thinking about it on every invoice.
Can customers approve an estimate without calling you?
An estimate sent by email or text, approved in one click, becomes a work order. The phone tag disappears, and the approval is on record if the question comes up later.
Does the inspection fit in the technician’s phone?
An inspection with photos, filled out in the bay and sent to the customer, sells better than an explanation at the counter. It also records the vehicle’s condition when it arrived.
Does the software speak your shop’s language?
GaroPro is bilingual end to end: each employee picks the language of their screen, and documents go out in each customer’s language.
Where is your shop’s data hosted?
GaroPro is built in Moncton and hosted in Canada. Your customers, vehicles and invoices are not on a server on the other side of the world.
Does the software fit your type of shop?
A mobile mechanic doesn’t need a tire storage menu. GaroPro asks what your shop does — on-site shop, roadside, light or heavy vehicles, tires — shows what concerns you, and lets you hide the rest of the menu. These settings are made on the web and apply in the app too. At check-in, guiding questions help record the customer’s complaint.
